"I have in the works the process of forming a non-profit 501(c) 3 non-stock corporation called, Tackle The Storm.

The goal is simple, to bring back the magic wands of childhood.

When the storm takes everything, we can't give it all back, but when it takes from the children their fishing stuff… THAT we can give back."

Tackle the Storm needs your help! Those are the words of outdoor writer Don Barone. Don, or db as he's known to friends and fans, travels the country covering the Bassmaster Elite Series and other B.A.S.S. events. This year, Don traveled right through the heart of the tornado-ravaged southern United States, and the things he saw spurred him to action. That's when Tackle the Storm was born.

The mission statement on the group's Facebook page is simple: "Help get the kids back to the peace of the lake, and away from the violence from the sky."

How can you help? Lots of ways...

 1. You can visit the Tackle the Storm Facebook page. Make sure to 'Like' the cause. Share it with your friends, your family, your dog and anyone else that will listen.

 2. You can make a monetary donation. db writes on the TTS Facebook page:

"The biggest help we need are donations, since we have been asked to help children in other towns, in other states. You can send a check to Tackle The Storm Foundation, PO Box 912, Farmington, CT 06034-0912 or you can send a donation via Paypal by sending it to don.barone@gmail.com and marking it as a gift. All donations will be tax-deductible and will be acknowledged with a receipt."

3. You can go here and vote for Bassmaster Elite Series pro John Crews to compete in the Toyota Trucks All-Star week. If John gets into All-Star week and wins, he's pledged to donate $25,000 to TTS. Watch John's video at the bottom of the page to hear more about why he deserves your vote.

There ya' go, EarthSporters. The proverbial ball is now officially in your court. EarthSports is one of the largest communities of anglers on the web. Let's show the folks at TTS what we can do when we work together for a common good. Ready... GO!

Details:

> Elite Series pro Skeet Reese has donated 100 rods and reels to the cause. Good on ya', Skeet!
